I forgot how soothing it can be to hide away somewhere with a sketch book and some pens and pencils and make art, not being tied to a desk or a certain room, I can do it in my car, in a lawn chair on the porch or in a café drinking a latte. Thought I’d share some more art from that sketch book, sorry for the crappy digital photos, I’m too lazy to excavate my old scanner and press it into service again. This is a very tiny space to work in, 2.5 X 3.5 inches about the size of a credit card, it is is an interesting challenge to work with. Also a challenge for me is using real media, I'm such a digital junkie these days. I must admit though I did the preliminary sketch on my computer to work out the composition and pose before printing it out and transferring it with tracing paper to thick water color paper for inking and coloring.
